    1. What Are Cookies?

    Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites. Similar technologies include localStorage and device identifiers. This page explains which of these SnapRoomScore and its service providers use.

    2. Technologies Used on This Website

    Necessary local storage (SnapRoomScore)

    Measurement summaries, badges, streaks and classroom monitor settings are stored in your browser's localStorage so the tools work. This data is not sent to us and is not used for tracking.

    Consent cookies (Google consent message)

    Where Google's consent message is shown, it stores your consent choice (for example in a cookie named FCCDCF or FCNEC) so you are not asked on every visit.

    Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 – consent required)

    • _ga — distinguishes visitors with a random identifier. Expiration: up to 2 years.
    • _ga_* — keeps session state. Expiration: up to 2 years.

    Analytics never includes audio, microphone input, decibel readings or measurement history.

    Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

    Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies and identifiers (for example __gads, __gpi and cookies on Google domains such as IDE) to serve and measure ads, limit repetition and prevent fraud. Personalised advertising cookies are only used where consent has been given or where the law allows. The exact cookies are set and controlled by Google and may change; see how Google uses cookies.

    3. Google Consent Mode v2

    SnapRoomScore sets all Google Consent Mode signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) to "denied" by default before any Google tag loads. They change only when consent is given through Google's consent message. While denied, Google tags do not set analytics or advertising cookies for those purposes, but may send limited cookieless signals.

    4. Managing Your Preferences

    Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland can accept, reject or manage consent in Google's consent message, and reopen it at any time with this button or the "Privacy & Cookie Settings" link in the footer:

    If no consent message appears in your region, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, manage ad personalisation in Google's Ad Settings, and install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

    Blocking cookies does not affect the measurement tools.
