By measuring continuously for half a minute, it captures the average ambient level, identifies peak events, and records the quietest baseline — three data points that together paint a far more accurate picture than any single reading.

    Quick Tips If Your Room Scores Poorly

    Seal gaps around doors and windows with adhesive weatherstripping — even a 3 mm gap can transmit significant airborne noise.

    Add heavy curtains or acoustic drapes. Multi-layered fabric with mass-loaded vinyl backing can reduce window transmission by 5–10 dB.

    Place bookshelves filled with books against shared walls. Books are excellent broadband absorbers and add mass to the wall partition.
